Dr Gaines’ ministry of reconciliation came to fruition at a critical moment in history: the passage between two centuries and millennia. And I have been truly blessed to have witnessed some of these moments of Jack’s quiet leadership and charisma in advancing reconciliation, promoting healing and building trust, sowing good seeds of reconciliation in so many hearts and nations.
A tireless Peacemaker has now gone home. We celebrate his legacy and hold to the provision of Mt 5.9 (Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God) and remain wholeheartedly praiseful and grateful unto the Lord for the testimony of His servant.
From Benin, we send our love and compassion to his beloved family as we commit them to God’s promise in the Beatitude Mt 5.4.
