The legacy of slavery affects even the land. Land is defiled by sin. Many people who are sensitive to those issues have reported feeling a sense of heaviness, sadness, confusion and other negative responses to being on land where violence, oppression, false worship, broken covenants and other offenses to God took place. Furthermore, that land affects the people on it by making it difficult to share the Gospel and acting like a “magnet” to other sinful activity.

Such land issues can be cleaned up by strategic prayer and repentance and righteousness. The clip below illustrates land defiled by sin, yet redeemed by the Christians living on it.
